DD4 RIS III 

The Daniel Defense RIS III carabiner gives you more control, more possibilities with less weight! This is the revolution of RIS III rifles, the new trigger chamber is made with the same reliable technology trusted by thousands of shooters, but is now fully double-sided! The new RIS III rail system is modeled on the proven RIS II system developed for SOCOM. The RIS III features M-lok mounting slots for weight savings while retaining the durability and resilience of the old mounting system.

The rifle is equipped with a 14.5 ”cold forged barrel. Cold forging changes the structure of the steel, increasing its strength and extending the service life of the rifle barrel. The barrel has an internal chrome coating, which increases its service life and facilitates cleaning. A 1: 7 thread was used, designed for heavy bullet ammunition, which at this length of the barrel will ensure optimal ballistic parameters and stabilization of the projectile's flight. The barrel ends with a 1 / 2x28 ”thread for a muzzle device, with a factory fitted A2 type flash hider.

The trigger chamber is equipped with fully double-sided manipulators: a fuse, a magazine release and a bolt release, while maintaining the dimensions of a standard chamber in the Mil-spec system. The breech chamber and the trigger of the carbine are covered with an anode. Anodization is electrochemical fixation of the coating, which makes it very durable against the negative effects of weather conditions.

The stock and the pistol grip were made by Daniel Defense according to an individual project combining the durability of the composite and the adhesion of santoprene. The stock has 6 steps in length. The carabiner has built-in QD mounting systems for tactical sling. The QD system is based on the ability to quickly attach and detach the suspension hook from the socket. They are located on the stock on the left and right sides and in the rear part of the drain chamber.

The carabiner is compatible with all MIL-SPEC constructions and accessories.
